Everyone gets married for a different reason. Whether you love each other, get pregnant, want a tax break or just to change things up, you have a reason to get married. Here are a few reasons most people have a wedding.

LOVE

The first and most important reason people get married is because they love each other. When a lot of couples fall in love, they feel the need to get married right away. If you see yourself spending the rest of your life with each other, go for it. To some people, love is the only thing they live for. Once they find love, their life is complete.

MILITARY

Being in the military is another great reason to get married. In order to travel with your significant other and stay on the military base, you must be married. Not only will you get to travel the world with your husband/wife, you get more money from the military. They give married soldiers more money for living expenses than single soldiers.

CHILDREN

If you are pregnant or have already had a child, it would be a good idea to get married. A lot of people wait to have children until after they are married. Other people make a family the unconventional way by having the children first then getting married.

THE DRESS

Some women just want to buy a big white dress. In order to buy the pretty dress, they must get married. This will give them an excuse to go wedding dress shopping with their girlfriends. They can try on as many dresses as they want until they find the perfect one for them. Once they have the dress, they have to get married.

CHEAPER RENT

If you live on your own, you know how expensive it can be to pay for your rent by yourself. When you have a roommate, it can be more affordable to live but annoying with a random person at the same time. If you get married, you can save on your rent money and share the house with someone you get along with.

LESS MONEY ON CLOTHING

When people are dating and trying to find “the one” for them, they are spending a lot of money on fancy clothing. Once they get married they don’t have to worry about getting dresses up for their significant other.

SOMEONE TO WATCH CHICK FLICKS WITH

When you have a boyfriend, he can leave whenever he feels like it, especially when you watch a chick flick. When you have a husband, he really doesn’t have a choice but to sit and watch the movie with you.

NEVER SIT AT THE SINGLES TABLE

Going to different weddings by yourself can be depressing. They usually sit you at the singles table so you hopefully meet new people. With a husband/wife, you no longer have to sit at the awkward singles table with the loners. You will always be able to mark a +1 on the RSVP card.

TAX BREAK

When you file your taxes as a single person, you owe more money. When you file as a married couple, you owe less money and can qualify for different benefits.

PARTY PARTY PARTY

The last reason to get married is to throw the biggest party of your life. You can invite anyone you want, pick the food you want to serve, pick the colors and even the music. This party revolves around the happy couple and their taste.
