If you want to take your relationship to the next step, a good understanding and trust is essential between the couple. A good conversation is essential to know each other better but most of the time during the course of dating we become tongue tied with the fear of saying something wrong that can be detrimental to your new relationship. Sometimes because of our shy and introvert nature we are not able to ask the right questions to the guy. Though some people are born with the gift of gab but others can also learn the art of conversation by learning some simple techniques especially the one which involves asking questions that will evoke a response from the guy you are dating and which will make you understand him better.

If you don’t know where to begin the conversation and what to ask guy to get to know him here is a list to help you get started:

• Start on a neutral ground by asking him about his childhood, the place of birth and where did he grew up.

• You can then ask him about the activities which interest him and also ask him to elaborate on his hobbies to see if you tread on some common ground.

• If comfortable than talk about your respective families and ask him to share some fond memories with you also pitching in with your interesting anecdotes.

• Ask questions about his job profile and where he works in what capacity.

• Ask about his likes and dislike about movies and music. Discuss about your favorite songs and movie stars. Ask about his favorite television series and ask him to pick out a star with whom who would like to spend a day alone at an island.

• You can ask the guy if he loves reading and what kind of books does he like to read? You can ask about the last book which he read and his opinion about the same which will give you a good idea about the thinking of the guy that you are planning to date.

• You can also discuss whether the guy loves to travel and what have been his most memorable vacations till date. You can even discuss the places that you would like to visit in near future. You can also ask the boy you are dating if he would love to go trekking and enjoy gazing at stars in the night by camping near the riverside.

If you want to know the lighter side of the person then you can ask these fun questions to your date:

• Ask him about five adjectives to describe himself.

• Find if the your guy would be tempted to try any kind of adventure sports.

• Ask him if he had been a bully in school and what had been the most embarrassing moment in this life. You can also ask him about his favorite superhero.

• You know him better you can ask about his dreams, ambitions, fears and also the things that he is really proud of.

• Last but not the least ask him his idea of a perfect date and what does he like to do when he get a spare minute.

Remember you are out on a date and not interviewing a guy therefore don’t shoot all these questions at one go but ask these questions casually to know your guy better.
